Default Doing Teraflex 2.5 BB this weekend, need advice on tires

I have the Teraflex 2.5 BB and a set of spacers that I am putting on this weekend. (Thanks to mkjeep for helping me!!!!) I have the 3.73 gears, automatic trans.

Anyone running this combo with 35x12.5 tires? I'm about to buy a set, and put them on the stock 17" wheels, but I want to be sure there are no rubbing or mechanical issues with this setup. I know I will need to recallibrate the speedo. Will I need a stabilizer?

I know lots of you have done this setup, so let me know. I need to hear your voices of experience!

you can run this setup just fine but you will see some minor rubbing of the fenders at a full flex. a 1" body lift will take care of this if it becomes a real issue for you. also, you WILL need to run wheel spacers if you are going to mount them on stock wheels.

wayoflife, thanks for the advice. You da man!

What is meant by "minor rubbing"?
Will it cause damage, or just scuff the inside of the fender a little?

The tire will rub against the fender plastics, but not so much as to rip the fender off.

it means at a full flex, your lugs will rub your fenders and make a lot of noise. more irritating than anything. as far as damage goes, there are a couple of vertical plastic support pieces up under your fender that you can't see that usually breaks off. it's really no big deal and as mentioned, you can't even see them anyways. of course, if you trim your fenders like i did, you won't have any rubbing at all

So, a couple of support pieces can break off, not affecting anything?
Does the tire rub the outside, bottom edge of the fender also?
Or does it just tuck up inside so far that it rubs underneath?
When at a full turn does the tire rub against the body or wheel well? (I have spacers that will prevent this, I thought)

They'll rub on your plastic airdam at full lock , if you still have it on. I ran 35's, stock rims with spacers on a BB, it only rubbed off-road under flex discoed. I put a 1in bodylift on and no rubbing. Give me a call Friday to tell me everything is still a go for Sat.

I'm running with 33" tires. One thing to look into is to MAKE SURE YOU FULLY UNDERSTAND THE IMPLICATIONS OF A LIFT AND BIG TIRES.

That said, 35" tires are awesome. Just make sure you've researched all the things that happen when you do this lift and put larger tires on.

Only reason I'm saying this in the first place is that it seems you got the cart before the horse by getting the lift but weren't certain on what kind of tires you wanted.

Well, I had originally planned on running 33's, but found a good deal on a used set of 35's, so now I'm just looking into that option.

Thanks for the concern.
