Default 17x8 Cragars on 08 Rubi Unlimited?

I know it's a relatively noob question, but I have used the search feature with conflicted results...

I just took delivery of my new 08 Rubi unlimited (FINALLY IN A JEEP! ), on my old chevy pickup I was running Cragar 15x8s wrapped in BFG A/T KOs, and loved the wheels. I'd like to get the Cragars back on the Jeep, but the Rubi comes with the KM2s in 255/75R17s.

I have read on the forum going to the 15x8s on the 08 Rubi's causes rubbing on the calipers, so I've been looking at the 17x8s and keeping the stock rubber. The specs on these have 4.5" B/S and a 0 off-set. There are 17x9's that offer 5" B/S also with 0 off-set. What do I need to do to make these work?

I haven't found much info on the forum about the 17x8" Cragars...anyone know if I will have any problems with rub at lock? I don't plan on going any bigger with the tires, but I would like to get a leveling kit to bump that front end up (anyone with info on that too, it's appreciated!)

Also, are the 08's and newer having to purchase aftermarket TMPS sensors or can the stock ones be transferred?

Thanks!

Can't really answer on the 17x8's, but I ran 16x8 Soft 8's with no problem. They cleared the brake calipers no problem. 17x8's should be fine.

And the tire shop can transfer the TPMS. Just be careful, some want to charge a fortune. One shop quoted me at $160.00 to transfer the sensors. Discount Tire did it for $15.00.

Awesome link, but does anyone have the stock specs for the Jeep 17" Rubi rims?

I have been running the 17x8 Cragar Soft 8s and 35s with no problem.
