Default Rubicon NP241OR Tera2Low vs. NP241J Review

Rubi case on the left.

Several months ago I acquired a Rubi case from car-parts.com for $600 with 57 miles on it. Finally last month I got it installed with a Tera2Low kit. Very easy install, instruction pics too small. Very easy swap from the NP241J to the NP241OR. No fun bench pressing t-cases in or out. Stubby 12 point wrenches are your friend. I was surprised at the amount of room around the t-case. I pulled the shift linkage bracket off to make it easier to reach the top nuts.

Last weekend I was able to finally get out and put it to use. Wow! Climbing large steps/rocks was so much easier for my JK! Before I would have to get on it more to do a large step. Take a look at the video for the proof. Now the 2Low made it nice to crawl along and be able to steer easier. Very easy to slide into and out of 4Low and 2Low. Never popped out of 2Low on me when i stomped on it.

I see you have 5.13s also. So which do you think made a bigger difference in the rocks, the 4:1 or 5.13s?

Everyday driving, the 5:13's helped out a ton. Want a easier time off road with larger tires then the 4:1.

I saw the video! Sorry but I had to grimis at the grinding and clanking. Was that your rock rail? Or was there something else that also suffered?

Sweet video though

Nope, rock rails never got touched. I like to do too much product testing to my arms/brackets. If I hadn't slid over so much, would of been fine. That was more of drivers error. Screaming sounds were my son and daughter. Clanking was my one-off set of prototype TB bushings that seem to have died. Need to get a new 1753418 TB in there with some clevite bushings.

Nice to know that the Tera long arms/bracket can take abuse like that.Your kids might have nightmares about that event
