Currie Rock Jock suspension
who has it and what do you think of it? i've done a few searches and seen people who have installed them, but nobody really says much about them. any pro's or con's over the other big name companies? anything extra u suggest purchasing when buying the kit? i know people say currie and clayton are top of the line, but is clayton better? is it worth it to throw that kind of money on it at all or should i go with a cheaper lift that will do just as well? i'm looking at running 37's on my 08 2dr 6spd rubi. i know i'll need driveshafts and gears and all, and i don't mind putting the money out on the currie lift if it's worth it, i just need to know how much i should have in the account before pulling the trigger. any help is greatly appreciated. TIA
I've installed the Currie system and can tell you that it a great install with excellent parts. (Especially the rebulidable Johnney Joints) I just finished installing and haven't had a chance to try it offroad though.
I started with a FT kit but I replaced all arms with Currie. What have made my decision, that was the Johnny Joint they use in their arms. No more bushing in this arms then no more bushing to replace. And as it is mention above you still can re-do the Johnny Joint if ever they have to.
Another component which I swap for Currie is the sway bar link. Ok they are not disconnect-able, but once again they have an heim joint (like the OE sway bar link).
This is this kind of detail that make me swapping my FT arms and sway bar links to Currie.
And now D60.... Soon

well i was thinking about the anti-rock rear sway bar and the currie control arms even if i don't do the full currie kit. i know the arms are perfect for my needs (super flexy and rebuildable) and i'd do the anti-rock front and rear but i have the electric disco up front so i don't really need it there. i was also thinking about the teraflex s/t rear sway bar, so if anybody has any experience there i'm open to suggestions. i just like how you get the braided extended brake lines, the drop pitman arm, and seemingly everything else you'd need for the lift aspect. of course i'll need shafts and all, but i'd rather choose my own company for that. is a frankenlift perhaps a better solution? if so, i know who i want arms from, but where to go for the rest? i'm assuming terflex?
The nice thing about going with a complete setup is that you have manufacture support. Although, with all of the great suspension install write ups on this site you might not need much manufacture support. I went with the Currie suspension, including adjustible track bars and front and rear antirock sway bars along with their Dana 60's. I did this partly because of the single manufacture support. It proved to be very helpful since the techs had already done my similiar setup.
