Default Strange sound after upgrading to 4.56

I just have modified my JK gear ratio to 4.56, it feels better on and off-road with stock tires.

While driving at 60 MPH at 5th gear, when I de-accelerate and accelerate slightly again I do hear a zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz sound from almost underneath the gear handle.

I took it today to the dealer, we went for a test drive and he said: we do have couple of complains about this and we had sent the issue to Chrysler and all the got is "It's normal" !!!!

What do you guys suggest

you have gear whine on decel. assuming your bearing pre-load is set up correctly, your ring and pinion isn't setup correctly or as good as they could be.

Thanks Wayoflife

I've just spent about 650 $ on those, do you think the dealer will bother working on them again ?

Or, should I take it to the second dealer in here to have them check it out.

actually, if they are the ones who installed the gears, i would make the work on it again. certainly, i would think they would warranty their own work and if they didn't do things right the first time, they should be responsible for fixing it.

Was that 650 to install gears at the dealership?

If so I am going to a dealer to talk about a gear swap. Quotes around here are for about 1700 ( including all parts and labor ).

David have you tried Krazy house customs in Monmouth Junction? I'm guessing your price is from OK4wd

I'm going to check with Krazy House... they aren't too far from me.

And yes that quote was OK. ( not really "O.K." ...OK4wd )
