Door step in height - 3" lift and 35's?
Thinking about picking up a new JK and selling my TJ. Took a 4 door X for a ride the other day and really liked it. But it desperately needs a 3" lift and 35's in my opinion. So the sale of my TJ will pay for the lift, wheels, tires and gears. Before I do this, I'd like to know what the door step in height so I can measure it next to my truck and TJ. I need my 5' wife to be able to climb in fairly easily.
The Mastercraft handles made a huge difference getting in our Jeep although neither my wife nor I are vertically challenged. That said, sliders and the handles and you should be fine.
Also, I'm pretty sure I had measured between 28-29 inches on my 3" lift with 35s. Different lift and different tires and you can throw that out the window.

I would suggest a grab handle on the roll bar and one maybe on the "A" pillar.

I've got a 3in lift, with only 33 in tires. My wrangler came with the "black appearance package" which comes with a black side step. It would be a royal pain in the ass if I didn't have the step. Friends who are not use to getting in and out of it find it hard to climb in. Even though I don't have 35 in tires I have ordered a set of Master Craft "oh shit" handles that strap onto the roll bar to make it easier for everyone to get it.
Just measured! My Full Traction 3" Ultimate with Toyo 35's is 29.5" to the flat section of the door sill and 31" to the "lip" at the top.
I'm 5'11" and it's a challenge getting in. When "no one" is watching I use my fold up "Geezer" step to get in...@ 9" step.
