Put on my own lift. Installed my winch and new bumper. I'll be damned if I didn't eat a retard sandwich for lunch... Anyone give me advice on how to remove the stock mirrors from the brackets? I have the Rugged Ridge mirror relocation brackets, and was looking to remove the stock mirrors and put them on the RR mounts. I've got the assembly off the door, and removed the screw from the bottom of the factory mount. But I can't get the mirror off the darn factory bracket. Suggestions?

Okay... if your mission is to make me laugh, then mission accomplished. I've taken a long punch and hammer to the damned thing... not budging. Passenger the same thing. WD-40'd the crap out of it. Any harder and I think I'll break the damned thing...

 

i had the same problem it was easier for me to blot the whole assembly back on to the door to get more leverage in the mirror. than i shook it back in fourth while pulling it up. i have the rugged ridge relocatin brackets too. and heads up you might have a prob with the door sills. my hardware didnt fit. good luck!
