Anyone else with 4" of lift w/o adjust. upper control arms and have crappy handling?
Anyone else here have:
- a 4" (or more) lift that came with lower control arms but not adjustable or replacement uppers AND
- have really crappy, flighty, bump steer susceptible handling?
As some of you know I've tried just about everything to get my front end feeling better without much success.
Recently I've been doing a lot of research on caster and its effect on handling and I finally understand the concept and how it works so I went back to my measurement sheet from the last time I had an alignment done on my Jeep and my caster was measured at +3.5 on both sides, which from my understanding isn't even the factory setting.
Could this be why my front end sucks ass? Also, I noticed that the skyjacker upper adjust. control arms are the cheapest. Has anyone had any experience with them?

So the front lowers you have 'are' or 'are not' adjustable? The 4" Skyjacker parts list pics I looked at show adj lowers. If so, could it be that your alignment person set you near the 'factory' specs because you didn't specify a 6-7 caster range? And if so, you don't need adj uppers.
Also, I did have the alignment guy set my toe-in but it didn't help a whole lot.
I'm going to call 4 Wheel parts today and get a quote for parts + labor. It still seems like the Skyjacker adjustables are the cheapest. Am I going to get what I pay for here?
Haven't seen anyone talking about them on here, but 175 sounds like a good price. Don't see a description, and can't tell from the pic, so my question is: are they rebuildable, or would have have to replace parts/all from skyjacker? Factor that in to the cost of upgrading to the Curries at 250-ish.
I'm in a similar situation. Hybrid ome/spacer lift, which is right around 4". Got talked into non-adj Rubicon Express lowers, (which are longer than stock, so improved handling a bit) and just ordered Currie adj uppers.

The front lowers I have came with the lift kit, but are not adjustable :/ This is the kit I have: http://www.quadratec.com/products/16117_100X_C_PG.htm
