I've noticed that wind gets under the hood at high speeds (60 mph plus) and it gives of the illusion that it's going to fly off. It checked the hood clamps and they are secure. Didn't happen when it was at stock height but with the 2.5" TF BB lift and my 35's some wind gets under there now. Does anyone else have this issue? If so what can I do to fix it? Thanks...

 

Do a search and you'll find a TON of threads on this. I removed the spring under the front of the hood and I haven't had anymore problems.

 

I put the daystar hood latches in and it fixed it for under $30

Same here with the $30 jobs. Thought I was going to break something the first time I did them up, now that they've broken in they are easier to do.

Probably one of the best investments I've made. Cheap and solved an annoying problem.

Like a lot of factory stuff I take off... right into the garbage with the old ones.

 

Lots of complaints but never heard one story about the hood actually coming off. So, I kind of like it now. Especially with a new passenger... You see that big semi coming toward you and say, "hey does it look like my hood is loose?"
