Default How to get tires to fit?

I am purchasing a 09 4 dr rubicon and am looking at 33x15.5 tires. Realize I will have to get wheels. What size wheels will I need for these to fit. Do I need lift due to the width of the tire (15.5).
Thanks,
Lisa

others may chime in here and correct me, but with no lift you will need to find a wheel with 4.5 of backspacing and maybe even add wheel spacers....thats a wide tire....my guess is you will rub your fenders when flexed with no lift added too.

That's a really wide tire and it's going to need a fender trim without a lift. Back spacing is going to be dependent on what width wheel you run, and I can't see running anything less than a 9" wheel width.

I second having wheel spacers, I had to trim my front plastic skid with 12.5" tires. That is a wide tire I think it will look cool good luck.

That is a really wide tire. I guess your going for the extra wide stance. I think that is a little wide for that tall of a tire. You might run into rubbing problems as well if its not set up right.

IMO, go with a more narrow tire. You'll need a wheel with 4.5 bs or less plus wheel spacers. All that equals too much pressure on c joints ans axles.

That's gonna end up havinprobably 5" of tire stickin out from the fenders. It's gonna look like ass. 285 75s are 33s and they'll fit on the stock wheels with no lift......and not look like ass.

While I concur that it might look like ass, there are some pretty functional bias ply balloon type tires which are going to be well rounded at the potential rub points. Not my gig at all as I always need to get blasted with some mud before I roll up the windows, and those tire would be dumping bucket loads in with their first shot at it.
