Default Upgrading rubicon to 35" tires, have a "few" questions.

As the title says I have an 08 stock rubicon that I want to get 35's under.

On to the questions
http://www.4wheelparts.com/prodDetai...eep-parts=true

Is this a lift choice? If not what's a better choice for a DD and off road use?
What shocks are good choice?
What other parts are needed to finish the lift?

Are these good tires for sand, pavement, mud, and some rocks? Or is there better tires to choose?
What's a better choice, 15" rims or 17"?

What's the propper gearing choice?

Thanks, and sorry for the multiple questions.

I don't see extended bumpstops?

The OME long travels have been getting fairly good reviews lately. (though I don't know the 'actual' lift height on this kit or if the ome's are long enough...)

17" rims/tires are generally more expensive than 15's.
15's may/may not have issues with caliper clearance. (have the shop test fit...)

Gears depends a lot on your preferance...
For 35's and a manual, probably 4.88's. (Or 5.13's if there's a chance of going to 37's)
For 35's and an auto, probably 5.13's. (Or 5.38's if there's a chance of going to 37's)

Let me preface by saying that I haven't personally run any of the tires listed here, but from what I've read (and if it were me buyin' tires for your stated purposes), then I'd consider...
  • BFG KM2
  • Pro Comp Xtreme MT

Both seem to cost less than the Baja Claws, both get really good ratings in mud, rocks, and pavement... and I'd assume they'd be comparable in sand since they're all 12.50" wide.

Since you have a two-door, driveshafts (especially the rear) will need to be in your future as well. Not necessarily immediately, but seems that after a few thousand miles the greater angles do in the rear CV joint.

As for wheel/tire size, how about splitting the difference and going 16"? If you do keep your stock 17" wheels, you will need wheel spacers for the 35" tires for clearance.
