Exclamation License Plate on Rugged Ridge XHD Bumper

Just curious how does everyone who needs to put a plate on their front bumper adjust their RR XHD to accept the plate? I would prefer to have the non winch mount center piece as I like the looks better, and it seems stronger with no winch cut out. However, zip tying the plate to the winch bumper seems to be the only easy and effective way to do it.

What have you guys done for your plates on the non winch bumper, and is it worth it to get the winch bumper over the non winch just to simplify the front plate problems?

Thanks.

I ended up zip tying mine to the winch itself as a temporary means of putting it on. I am considering modding up something so the plate hangs on a hinge that protrudes down between the XHD bumper and front skid plate. That way it will hang straight down and be visiable since the underside of the bumper is to steep to mount a plate on and have it easily seen. I still sorthing through how to rig something up along that lines that will pull off easily for wheeling, but one get ripped off during normal use...

Cheers

On the Winch Mount one I made a holder using Mag-Lite clips (you can find a pre made one @ cooltech) that attaches to the roller fairlead
on the non winch mount I have seen them drilled, or mounted with magnets (would have to be very stong for me to trust that method)

Pick up a universal plate mount fom the local auto parts store for about $4 and drill a few holes and mount it where you want.

Get some rare earth neodymium magnets. You can get them online cheap but if you have a dead hard drive you can take it apart and get some out of there, too. They're very strong.

Or see how long you can drive without having one on the front. I have mine on the back seat. Hoping that "if" I get pulled over for it I can pull the old, "o - I just haven't drilled mounting holes in the new bumper yet" statement.
