I believe the light will continually flash on the dash, but I'm pretty sure the dealer can flash the computer to turn off the electronic swaybar disconnect option.

If you remove the electric Disco and replace it with say a stock bar your really not going to change much in on road and mild off-road performance. The Disco is at its most effective when in extreme off camber situations and articulation (it wont try and force both sides of the axle to move together). There are several aftermarket sway systems that work great and never need disconection. As for the light if you take your system out it will continue to flash, you can have the dealer reflash it or the AEV procal can turn it off as well.
