Default MBRP catback or Magnaflow catback????

I've been looking to get a new exhaust for my 2008 Unlimited X for quite some time now and I think I've narrowed it down to these two. Both are available at quadratec.

The MBRP
http://www.quadratec.com/products/17605_1102.htm

The Magnaflow
http://www.quadratec.com/products/17613_1001_07.htm

Both are stainless and both have lifetime warranties.

My main concern is the sound of the exhaust, I know that power gains are minimal. I want a nice deep sound that is noticable but not too loud where its annoying. And I definitely dont want to hear any drone at any speed. Anyone with experience with either of these please let me know what you think. Also if you think there is another exhaust out there that is way better for my needs please let me know. Thanks in advance.

go with MBRP. I'm happy with my relocated system and the sound is great.

The biggest part is getting a system which relocates the can as MBRP, or have the local muffler shop take care of things with a pass through can and tail pipe.

The claims that the MBRP is superior to the other products out there is somewhat laughable. They all employ 2.5" pipe and pass through mufflers which is going to result in the same performance. Sure they might do better than some of the dual exit products out there, but they don't have any special mojo to out perform the single in and single out 2.5" pipe kits.

That doesn't make it a bad product, in fact from what I have seen it's exceptional. Just don't think your getting any more performance out of it than a cherry bomb and Joe's muffler shop.

You can get the SAME Magnaflow system from 4Wheel Drive Hardware for a LOT less $ !

4 door single tip p/n # 1003410 $366

2 door single tip p/n # 1003408 $325

THEY ARE THE SAME SYSTEMS THEY JUST COME IN A DIFFERENT 4Wheel Drive Hardware box!!.......... NO BS !

I got one for my 2 door JK I love it !

Not much HP gain, but I do notice a good gain of low end torque right off idle. Sounds good too deep tone and not too loud. You won't find a full SS cat back exhaust at this price any where else

Thanks for the feedback guys. I know that the prices at quadratec aren't the cheapest and that other sites have them for less, I just wanted to post a couple links to show the 2 exhaust sytems. Thanks again and keep the comments coming.

Checkout Cooltech's kit. It relocates the muffler and is stainless steel. You use your stock pipe which is 2.5" stainless. The kit is less and you get a Magnaflow muffler w/ a heat shield. I just installed mine and it sounds great.

I have a custom relocation by a local exhaust shop. Cost just over 100 installed its all stainless with round magnaflow race muffler. Sounds great, increased ground clearance, and saved alot of coin. Go check your local shop before ordering a 'kit'.

I have the MBRP relocation and it's F'ing awesome. I'm very happy with it. Check the link:
https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...brp+relocation

The sound is good and you can yout*be it to hear it. I noticed a little more kick out the 3.8 but nothing crazy but, that's expected. Where I did see an noticable increase was in low end torque. You can really feel it when crawling. I'd get the relocation set up 'cause of the better clearence in the rear. Hope this helps you out a bit.

MBRP all the way, hands down. I've seen the dyno of the MBRP and it does increase your hp and fuel economy better than Magnaflow does and the sound isn't so bad either. You'll hear it if you press on the pedal a lot but it mellows down after. Both my father and I have JK's and he installed a magnaflow catback, and I got a store to install my MBRP, and my friend has a gibson, and believe me, the MBRP sounds better and is more tolerable on the noise issue.
