i want to paint my wheels until i get my blacks ones this summer
i know i want to sand them and use a self etching primer but then what type of paint
i was told a spray on bedliner will not really harder up so then what should i use
i like a texted paint

yeah powder coat is nice , but expensive... Ive had good luck with duplicolor high heat engine enamel . the flat black looks nice.

Comes with 2LBS. of your choice color powder and everything you need. You can pick up an old oven from a flea market cheap and have all you need. You can make you money back powder coating things for your friends. It's a very simple process.

 

hmmm that would be nice... you just need a extra oven to bake whatever you powder coat right. i would love to have a powder coater.. i would coat everything.

Duplicolor makes a wheel coating specifically for rims. Its pretty cheap and at all auto parts stores.

 

I painted a set of steel wheels on my old Nissan P-up with Epoxy enamel appliance paint from Home Depot, rattle can stuff. The trick is the prep of the wheel before painting , I used a scuff pad and brake cleaner then washed w/ dish detergent/water ,let dry completely and spray away. let the paint dry about 48 hrs before mounting tires.
