Default Can you "slice" a coil spacer?

I have a Rusty's 2" BB lift but I really want to get rid of the factory rake. I've decided to remove the front 2" coil spacer and replace the coil with an OME heavy duty 3" coil.

Here's my question. If the new coil doesn't get me to level can I "slice" the 2" spacer to make a 1/2" or 1" spacer and install the spacer on top of the coil to get me to level.

This may be a hairbrained idea, but I figured I'd ask.

Thanks.

Why bother when a 1/2, 3/4 and 1" spacer is so cheap to buy? You could sell yours and buy the one you need. That would make a little more sense to me. That and you have nothing to compromise.

you can cut the spacer if you have the ability to make the cut straight. So if you have a band saw where you can setup a gate to make sure it goes straight. So, you not only have to make sure the cut is straight but also the problems with cutting the material.

So in simple, yes it is possible, but its easier just to buy the size you want.

Yup. I just cut one of my Full Traction front spacers in half with a miter saw to use on another project. Cut it like hot butter.

you can, but I'd buy some new ones instead....we tried it with a band saw and almost cut our arms off. ended up using a disc grinder to get the job done.....so yes, you can do it..but it's not exactly easy

Yeah, I wouldn't think a bandsaw would work well on a hard almost solid piece of round rubber. Surprised nobody lost a finger.

I cut mine, (the spacer) and I didn't have any problems, I wouldn't recomend it if you are not sure how to do it.
