Question Engine upgrades?

Since I'm new to JK Jeep mods, I'm wandering what can be done to get more power from the engine. Any recommendations on software mapping, air intakes, exhaust systems, super chargers ..ect... I have a 09 Rubicon Unlimited with 1,000 and it is a dog. I had an old Jeep Cherokee and don't remember it being so slow. Considering I'm getting ready to add more weight with 35" wheels and tires, it might be a good time to look at the engine. In addition, has anyone that enhanced their engine had dealership problems regarding warranty work? Thanks!

Unless you drop in a Hemi or add a supercharger, your only real option is to re-gear.

With an automatic, gears are the place to start. You can get power out of a variety of other upgrades, but nothing is going to put as much power to the ground as getting into the power band 30% faster. Add in the weight and height of 35s and it makes the decision even more prudent.

Make sure you get your speedo re-calibrated as well as that will become a source of irritation searching for the proper gear without it.

Totally different circumstances with a 6 speed.

I added an Airaid CAI. Made a differnce, but not enough to warrant the $$. Regearing will give the biggest seat of the pants improvement.

That would be awsome for the 1-2 seconds before rods start shooting through the hood....
