Default Hub Centric Help - Procomp 7005 owners

I have the procomp 7005 17x9 and it states they are not hub centric. I assume from the reading I should correct this. Is anyone else running 7005's that have added rings?

Very few aftermarket rims are hub centric. When installing the rims, bring the lug nuts to torque in 3-4 steps (i.e. 35, 65, 95, etc) in a star pattern and you will have few problems. There are some numb nuts that crank on the lug nuts with an impact wrench and the rims can be slightly off-center. Make sure you get the correct lug nuts for rim as well (Al and steel wheels use different nuts as a general rule). If you are having problems (i.e. shake) you can get hub spacers, but you may lose your center caps.

7005's here and no problems. As Silverghost said, just becareful tightening the lugs and you wont have any issues.

Funny, I asked the same question about my 7089s when i ordered them. I was told that no hubcentric rings are needed - there should be no problem installing them if you follow SilverGhost's instructions above.

If you call procomp, they'll tell you all their rims are designed lug centric and that no hub-centric ring is needed.

Whatever Procomp tells you, I noticed my ride was much smooth once they were installed as they help center the wheel.
