Default TF 4" Flex Arm vs. RE 4.5 LA lifts opinions

Looking at the TeraFlex JK 4" Flex Arm Lift and the Rubicon Express 4.5" Long arm lift. The TF runs about $2300 but I will still need to buy shafts and no teling what else. The Rubicon Express 4.5 Long Arm w/shafts for about $3500 online at Red Rock +300 for the RE Monotube Shocks . They claim 5.25" of lift with the TF but not sure on the RE.

I would like to have 35's and later maybe go to the 37's or jump right on 37's. I will not be doing any rock gardens but will be off road driving on trails and semi rough terain. I would also like it to handle well on the road for short day trips or if wife wants to take it to the beech with friends.
How much harder is the LA install and is there welding or torching invoved? Is it like a no brainer to go with one over the other or just a toss up?

This will be going on a 09 Rubicon Unlimited with auto tranny.

Thanks for any of your opinions and suggestions.

Although I do not have either of these set-ups I can tell you what I do know. First, teraflex makes a great product and if I were buying a lift I would def. do teraflex again. The RE or Mopar uses radius arms which in my opinion are not near as good as a 4 link suspension for flex. Another problem is that the bushing wear out because of the stress on the ends of the arms. You would want to add drive-shafts (about 1,000 extra) for front and rear with the teraflex so you would end up at the same price. I think you will be happier with the teraflex long arm and if it were me that's what I would buy.

I just need to figure out what all I will need not in the kits? Brake line ext, steering stbilizers, shafts, and on and on.

I myself was leaning more towards the TF lift.

the TF kit comes complete and the only thing you will need right off the bat is a new front drive shaft and only because you have an auto. because you have an unlimited, a rear won't be needed until the cv joints go out and that will most likely take a while. and, if you are going to be running 37's, you might want to be running 1350 shafts anyway and as opposed to the 1310's that would come with the other kit. as far as total lift height goes, the 5.25" is really what you will get, trust me, i ran their 4" short arm kit for a time and right off the bat, i got 6" of lift and it settled to about 5"+ after a while.

If its between short arm or long arm the long arm is the way to go. 4 link is better in my opinion, full traction kits depending on $$$ might be something to look at
