ask 1000 people and you will get 1000 different reasons as to why one or the other is better.

my opinion is get the one you like, that is cheaper and easiest to get.

I am in Maine and ordered a Rugged Ridge stubby on Tuesday from my local Truck Works dealer and It came in on Wednesday. The over rider hoop was on back order they said, so I searched on line and found the hoop at Jeephut.com and they had it in stock. I paid $53.99 shipped. I believe they had the bumper in stock as well.

I debated between the two as well.

I liked the price of the RR, but so many people sopke of a poor powdercoat and only praised the LoD.

I ended up with the MidWidth LoD and could not be happier. It looks great, is made extremely well and their customer service was amazing.

I highly recommend the LoD, as long as you can spend the extra cash. Very much worth the extra cost.

The RR stuff does look great and I like the ability to customize at will. I really like their rear bumper, too. In the end though, LoD is a better purchase.

If you're going to stick with just a stubby the LoD is the way to go! Made in the good ol USA!!! And it looks damn good... Rugged Ridge looks good but is made wherever it can be made cheapest.
