Default hard/soft top hybrid?

Is there anything like a soft top that keeps the front hard top panels (4 door)? Not a bikini type thing but an actual fold able rear (rear only).

I've never heard of anything like this... But, you can always run the factory soft-top and then, if you want to put it down but stil cover yourself or your passenger, you can remove the plastic retainers above the doors and throw your hard top panels up there while the top is down. Then, when you put the top back up, you just throw the panels in the back.

Yea. I thought of this - this is likely what will happen. I just thought the hybrid solution would be smaller, simpler solution... Of course, that assumed there was such a thing.

that's actually not a bad idea... would make it more simple to use the hard top panels then having to take the door surrounds off each time... weird, but cool.

This idea is even better if the soft rear section is trek top style ;-)

I actually posted quit awhile ago but just do not have the time to fab up something myself. You would think it could be easy enough to utilize the front panels and have the soft top mounted at the same time.

Maybe use the two screw holes underneath the panels in the rear to hold everything together and pop-off the front panels only when you want. This could be a full Trek Top slant like material in the back. Not sure about design to keep it all from flying off or flapping like hell - but it should be possible.

Wayoflife - you got some major pull. How about posing this idea to your network?
