Default Rugged Ridge side step installation issues.

I have a 4 door JK and ordered the RR steps. Look nice, seem solid enough for light use, good quality.

I go to install them and the brackets don't seem to line up. The mounting hole is about 1/8" to 1/4" off.

Anyone have this issue besides me?

If you're talking about the modular tube steps...

http://www.quadratec.com/products/12052_600_07.htm

then you probably have it on the wrong side and need to go to the opposite (passenger, driver), the 2 steps aren't the exact same, even though they may look like it.

With the RRC Side Armor/Step??? Had the EXACT same issue with the drivers side! Passenger side went on perfect... the other required a LOT of bending... then after that didn't work... fitted the front mount... then took a ratchet strap... hooked to the rear frame member or axle if I remember correctly and cranked that sucker down until we got it to line up! Finally got it on... but it was a pain in the arse!

I thought it gotted dropped really hard during shipping... but could have been a manufacturing problem...

You might want to link to them, RR makes lots of different type of side steps.
