Default What lift is recommended?

I am trying to determine what lift i should get to run some 37" tires on my 4dr JK. I LOVE the way the JK drives compared to my TJ and since this is my DD I do NOT want to sacrifice road mannors...

What is the absolute best lift for awesome road mannors to fit 37" tires?

I would prefer to keep the CG low and am not opposed to tube fenders and in fact would likely be more inclined to tube fender the front and rear and do something like a 3" lift...

This brings me to my second question, with 3" of lift on a LWB unlimited are new drive shafts recommended?

I am looking at a long arm Full Traction kit with 3 or 4" of lift...Can I fit 37" tires on 3" of lift with tube fenders?

Also, I know the R&P on these JK D44's are stronger than my TJ's but would 37" tires and a HEMI be pushing these axles to hard (with chromo shafts of course). Obviously I would prefer some nice bolt on D60 HP axles but last I checked with Dynatrac I need 12K just for the axles...

I am looking at the following:

Hemi conversion (~$8000 for parts I can install)
37" tires / wheels (~$2200 for AEV wheels and KM2 tires)
Lift of some type?? (~$2000)

I don't know if i could squeeze out another 12,000 for axles LOL!!!

If the hemi and 37's is to much I might just do the 35" tires and hemi...

I guess I am asking for input and suggestions...thanks for your input to a new JK owner...and avid jeeper for the last 7 years.

For a 4dr you won't need new driveshafts at 3" of lift. You can fit 37" tires on a 3" lift and tube fenders. If your JK is a automatic a hemi would be nice to move big tires, but you could regear to 5.13 or 5.38 instead.

Did you also check out the Teraflex 4" lift long arm kit? The ride is very nice.

Hope this helps.

How about a 3' lift and a 1" BL to fit on the 37's.

With flaties he will have enough clearance, but with 1"BL he will definitly have room to spare :-)

That is awesome good news. My TJ took 4.5" lift, 1.25" body lift to fit 35" tires LOL!!!

I am figuring that a set of $900 Evo tube fender/armor for the front and dido on the back is a better use of money than a large lift to raise my CG...Espically if I can clear 37" meats!!

Only problem is I doubt it would fit in my garage any more. My TJ jsut BARELY fits...

Man i love this JK!!! I am amazed how little lift is required for larger tires...I bet with tube fenders I could fit 35" tires with ZERO lift...

37" for a daily driver? If you want to help with your center of gravity lose the hard top and keep your weight as low as possible. I hope you don't have any hills or altitude.

37's on a 4dr as a DD on here is pretty common. If it were me I'd go Tera flex long arm for the best road mannerisms, and add the evo coilover system. That way you've got a great on road ride and awesome off-road abilities.
