Default How far up on pinch seam

Was wondering how far up from the on the pinch seam from the rockers are ou guys trimming or pounding over. I have a Procomp 4" stage II lift with 1" spacers on the front and the rear. I also have a more 1 inch body lift and xenon narrow flares with 37" bfg's on cragar 8's
My problem is i want to remove the body lift and just have suspension. I have trimmed a good bit off the pinch seam near the rocker but it still rubs farther up into the wheel well, if you were looking at it like a clock it rubs at about 10 oclock inside the wheel well.. I was wondering if you are trimming all that out or would it be better to just get a longer bumpstop. Does having a loger bumpstop affect the down travel on opposite side

Thanks for the help

I trimmed my rail and seam 2 the same length then cut up across and filled the small gap with a marine silicone, 3M 4200...
