Default Add a trunk, instatrunk, flexatrunk... Which one do you use?

I'm having the hardest of time picking a trunk for my Jk. The pictures I've seen on various sites dont really give me a view of them I want.

So that being said any one out there have some personal pics of your trunks?

I'm looking for one that gives me maximum space, and easy access. Maybe one that pops up and down.

Thanks

Still waiting on the Tuffy. So far it looks the best IMO. Made of metal, not plastic.

I've got the Besttop Flex-trunk installed in my 4-dr. Serves its purpose well, but prevents the soft top from folding down completely. Minor annoyance. It's helpful that when you remove all the top panels and back panel there is very little lost room in the trunk. I don't have any of my pics on this computer, otherwise I'd add them in...

Do you have a 2dr or 4dr?

I have the mopar add-a-trunk in my 2dr and I love it. I liked the look of it and it also had the largest cubic foot print of the 2dr trunks. It goes in and out in about 2 minutes (4 hand screws). I was able to stand on it with little flexing so I feel secure that it will hold up to the elements and theives.

If the JK instatrunk is like the TJ one that is plastic (not the early metal ones) it is extremely easy to yank the door open and get at what is inside. Does it still have the cheap spring loaded plastic latch? They are also not weather-tight at all. I did not like mine. Too small for storage and takes away from the already difficult utility of a 2dr.

I actually have a 4 door, but I must say at this point and time I'm liking the Mopar one more and more.

First, Love the Labowski quote!

2nd, I'd love to find an AFFORDABLE solution. no way would I ever pay the Tuffy prices for anything they make.

Where is that link to that dude who made one out of wood and then put carpet on it? his looked tight, and could be easily done out of metal to make more secure, for hundres less than any of the Tuffy ones. I"m not dissing Tuffy, I think their products are probably pretty good, but I just wouldn't pay their prices.

actually i just looked at the link to that Tuffy Security Deck Enclosure and that looks pretty sweet! but still 400 bones i'd rather spend on something else.... I just wish they were cheaper. for 400 bones, i'd rather buy a new drive shaft or some adjustable control arms.... or something.

but if i just had 400 to blow, i'd be all over it
