Wheel spacer questions...
First question I guess is:
running a 2.5'' coil lift from Teraflex on a stock 2009 rubicon
am I going to need to use wheel spacers....
So far I have heard conflicting reports...
one vendor said I would not need to run spacers unless I was using bigger tires another said I would need spacers with stock wheels... Forum members are mixed and matched...
I would rather not run spacers as I plan to get new rims and tires soon... and spacers would not be needed....
can anyone give me a firm answer, aka, "Hi I lifted with that kid and I do not use spacers on my stock wheels"
or vice versa "I did that set up and I rubbed, I use _____ spacers"
If I will need spacers, what type do you all sugest....
So far I hear Spider trax are the only way to go....

I believe you need spacers either way. I belive this is do the clearance issues with the rear sway bar. do a quick search for "spacers needed after lift" and there a few threads talking about this problem.
At the JK Jam there was a local there with a 09 Rubi Unlimited. He had just installed a TeraFlex 2.5" kit with stock wheels and tires. He told me he had no issues with rubbing when he flexed it. When you run larger tires then you will need spacers, due to the width. It's possible that the Rubi wheels have a different offset than the X/Saharas do? Adding spacers will be the safe way to do it.
I have the RC 2.5" Coil lift (I know, not a TF, but hey) and stock 255/70/18 Sahara tires and wheels. At a serious wheeling trip last month I saw very minor rubbing in two places. Front sway bar, and rear wheel tub on the inside. Neither was significant and only occurred at full flex (disconnected) on my Sahara Unlimited. I did buy spacers for a bit wider stance and because I got a good deal. Since then....no rub at all anywhere.
i am running the teraflex bb 2.5inch block lift with shock extensions on my 2008 unlimited Rubicon. I do not have wheel spacers and have never had a tire rub. It is close on the drivers rear where the sway bar is but has never hit.

You do not NEED spacers IF you move your rear sway bar links to the inside. the top bolt will be very close to but will not touch the tire.
Wheel spacers are suggested and will give you more stability with the wider stance and definitely take any chance away of rubbing. But, they are not a necessity i havent gotten them yet, theyre on my list but not that high up
