Default OR-FAB Tire Carrier Question

OK so I finally got my Tire carrier installed but noticed that my tailgate is really hard to open and that it seems to be grinding or rubbing somewhere. Anybody else with the OR had this problem? Is there a way to adjust the plates that go on the hinges to adjust?

You probably needed to grind down more the factory brackets. This was a PITA to get it right before continuing with the rest of the install.

I'm sorry, but you are in a world of shit my friend :-( Thats putting it lightly. You will have to uninstall most of it. Atleast everything in the passenger side.

You should have checked for clearance opening and closing the hinge before finishing the rest.

First ID what I'm talking about then show it to your installer. It's his headache then.

Perfect! That's what I'm talking about. Print these pics to help illustrate your problem.

I'm sorry to hear about the rubbing/grinding issue. If you get a chance I'd like to have you call our offices tomorrow to see if they can help you out with this issue. Our main number is (928) 636-7080 press #2 to get into sales. Steve Rezek is one of the owners and he's very good at returning phone calls. His direct line is (928) 636-3110.

I will call the office first thing so that they will have a "heads up".
