Rugged Ridge Bumper and Superwinch EPi9.0S install Help!
Did I buy a winch that does not fit this bumper? The right side of the winch hits the inside top of the bumper before the holes line up. Looks like the bumper needs to be cut back about 3/4 of an inch to be in the proper position.
Anyone have this bumper winch combo?

I have the same setup. You can either cut the top or use the template that came with the winch and drill 4 new holes
I know there are others that have had this problem. However, the opening for the winch is different sizes depending on which version of the bumper they sent you from the vendor. A buddy of mine (jrock776) has the same bumper and winch set up and his fit. The reason being is that the opening on his measured at 25 1/2". I purchased the same bumper about 2 weeks later (both from Quadratec) and the opening on mine measured 24 3/4". The other difference is that on the front of his bumper he had the Rugged Ridge logo cut into his bumper where mine just had a sticker. Seems that there are two versions of the same bumper
.
In talking to Quadratec, the said that they had not heard of any customers having problems fitting their winches and the rep verified that the opening is supposed to be 24 3/4". I don't know what to make of it. It seems as though my buddy got a more recent version of the bumper which will fit all winches. Seems like you should not have to modify the bumper at all especially when it is advertised as being able to fit the Warn Powerplant.

I agree! The other thing I noticed is the slot for the fairlead is not centered on the bumper. It sits about 2 inches to the right of center. I am not very happy with this purchase so far.
I must have gotten lucky. My bumper has a cutout on top that is perfect for the Superwinch EPi 9.0 ( I did have to make a cut on the frame horn though). The fairlead lines up great too with the exception that I had to cut a little out of the bottom so that the cable would not rub.
I was over at 1JK's* when he was putting his on, mine certainly had a larger opening on top (he listed the measurements).
I believe that they do have two versions. I think that yours is based on the distance between the frame horns (I noticed that the opening on 1JK's* lined up with the edge of the frame horn.) I don't know if mine came before or after. I would think it would have been after but it was odd that I got mine before

I had to enlarge the opening on the drivers side to fit my Superwinch. I also had to grind a bit of the heads of the bolts that are used to attach the fairlead.
If I were to do it again I would get a different bumper, I don't like that the fairlead isn't centered, the optional hoop has no light tabs that I can see, and the hummer d-rings are a pain in the ass.

I installed this combo just two weeks ago. I noticed the top cut out is not centered. The epi 9.0 has an external drum brake which makes the winch longer on the right side as you look at from the front, hence the clearance problem. So I decided the easiest solution would be to extend the top cut out so that it is the same distance to the bull bar on both sides.
I contacted the r&d dept and they said basically the same thing that everyone has noticed and have made the corrections on the newer models.
To me, it's no big deal. If you've ever customized an older Harley, you have to modify just about everything. It's just a matter of what you're comfortable with doing to a new part.

I agree. I'm still very happy with my setup. I seems like I always have to make some type of minor adjustments whenver I made some type of modification with aftermarket parts. I'm new to the Jeeping community, but I've done extensive mods to the quads that I have owned and on the trucks I have owned.
Reference the comment about light tabs... You are correct. There are no light tabs on the optional loop.
