And to answer your question, yes you can install Rubicon wheels on your Sahara no problem.

No problems, if you can get Rubicon rims with tires, the tires look better and will perform better than stock Sahara (just my opinion though!)

My understanding is the Sahara wheels are larger than the Rubicon wheels. I like the looks of the Rubicon wheels better than the Sahara wheels. I want to replace the Sahara wheels with the Rubicon wheels but will this create any problems?

The Sahara wheels are 18" and the Rubicon wheels are 17". You're Sahara tires won't fit the Rubicon wheels. I'd just look in the for sale section of the forum or check around locally for a set of Rubicon tires and wheels for sale. A lot of people drive them off the lot and immediately install a lift and bigger tires so they're pretty easy to find for a reasonable price.
