Default Hummer parts on a JK???

ok. everybody tell me what a bad idea this is, and talk me out of it.

I was under the wifes hummer yesterday, and noticed it has a massive front skid.

So...how blasphemous would it be for me to steal her skid to put on the JK?

was thinking of cutting slots that match the grill...then bedlining it.

Its not like shes going to ever need it.

If I remember correctly, the only H3 that I've looked at had an IFS. I'm not sure where you'd tie in the bottom of the skid to the JK with its live axle.

You'd also have to get rid of the big "H3" on it, . Good luck and post pics!

when I first saw crash's rig on here I thought it was amazing how someone fit 22's not availible for the JK and 4 foglights in the front, and even d-rings on a stock bumper. I thought man this guy is all show, no way he will wheel that thing. WRONG. I wheeled with him, and he is pretty hardcore. I have to say that my initial feeling about a H3 skid is not a good one, but I would have thought his rivets and 22's would look like ass until I saw them.

What I am trying to say is, in my head I think this is a crap idea, but I know that crash can make it work, and he can probably make it work well and look good under his jeep. So, I say go for it. Anyone else I would say its a dumb idea.

Im hoping that cutting slots will make the logo disappear.

LOL. thanks, man. I know all my ideas sound crazy at first. I think this could be cool.

BTW, 20s not 22s.

It's just metal from under a truck... pull it out chop it up and make a JK skid out it. Sounds like fabrication to me and I love the cost!

Go for it. If nothing else, the skid plate will be happy that it's on something useful now.
