Default front upper control arm bolt size

I am going to finally put on the rest of my flex arms this weekend, and I was wondering what size the upper control arm bolt is that I am going to have to cut off? I would like to have the bolt there so I don't have to go to the store middle of the install. I know someone out there knows.

I know you didn't ask me but I used a sawz-all. Cut through it quick and clean.

thats what I was planning on using, but usually when I do something like that I find out 5 minutes after I did it how I should have used some other tool that would have done it in a 10th of the time. Thanks for the post twindad. I am always open to any suggestions or ideas to make my life easier, so if anyone has any tips to make the install go smoother please let me know.

Hi bigbluejk,

I tend to learn things the hard way, too.

Craftsman provided a packet of blades with the sawz-all that I received as a gift. I never had an opportunity to use the metal blade until I installed the lift kit. About a minute into the bolt cutting task I realized that the blade Sears provided was junk.

I purchased a DeWalt (18 tpi, I think) and it made quick work or the bolt.

Those trips to the hardware store in the middle of a project can really slow things down.

Good luck.

Jeff
