5.7 Hemi (2400 miles and no ticket)
Pictures will follow……
DAN!!! The Hemi is friggen awesome!!
I fllew to Minneapolis last Sunday to pick up my JK, sorry Dan I missed you as you were in Detroit.
On the way home I met a lot of great people and also a couple of JK owners. I hated to stop as many times would get delayed talking..of course about the Jeep.
I made a pit stop at a rest stop in Iowa. When I started to enter back on the freeway I noticed a Jeep coming from behind real fast. I open her up and within seconds he-she was way behind me. I do not know the G force but it was incredible…I wish I had a five point harness.
Minor problem in Cameron, Kansas- the guy at Wal-Mart auto section was very helpful and had me going in no time.
I somehow got past the road block on highway 54 and was awed to see what destruction a tornado could do to a town. State Police were not so amused that I made it past the roadblocks.
I was glad to have the power to rip through a small portion of Oklahoma as the smell of cows was overpowering.
Right when I got into New Mexico I had to watch my speed as Troopers were all over the 40...
I was glad to have made it back to Arizona- the reason being gas prices. Every state was expensive and when I rolled in Flagstaff I was glad to see 3.09 a gallon…Phoenix was a lil cheaper.
My main goal was to intercept 2 guys driving a 1948 Jeep from Tallahassee, Florida all the way to Snowflake, Arizona. They were posting there trip reports on a daily basis and then they disappeared in Socorro, New Mexico. Never got to introduce my self as I did not know were they were.

After a days rest I headed out to Upland, California to pick up the Adventure Trailer. Mario and Martin presented me with one heck of a set up and was kind of worried on the weight (1400 lbs). back on the 10 heading home is a long uphill grade and had some needle movement but on the top of the summit I was moving at 75 at 2500 rpms.

I did stop at my local Jeep dealership for a oil change and had the service guys clamoring over my rig to check out the engine. At one red light I was next to a GT Mustang and was able to open it up for a few seconds…Stang kid looked at me with amassment at the next light and I let him go since his gal was with him and of course I do not need any unwanted tickets.
Again pic will be forthcoming…………….

Sgt Rock, how is it that you have that bada$$ of a rig on Sgt's pay?
a. You used your re-enlistment bonus on it.
b. You're a reservist with a sweet-paying civilian job.
c. Your wife or some other family member is loaded.
d. You got out after your tour and got a sweet-paying civilian job.
Because how ever it is, that you do what you do, I want to do it too!
