Default Air Dam...

Stupid question...

How do you get the Air Dam off? The plastic phillips head fasteners just spin.

I use a little muscle. It pulls off pretty easy.

I drilled a small pilot hole in the middle of the phillips head and screwed in a drywall screw part way and just pulled on the screw. They should just pop out that way.

Just to provide another perspective: Don't think of them as screws... they're more like rivets or plugs than screws. The grill has the same type of "plastic screw," and the trick for me was to turn it gently (about a 1/4 or 1/2 turn) to loosen up the edges, and then use a flat-head driver to pry out the pegs...

Or you could do it like I did and just take it off on the trails.....

It ended up on Morris Mountain on the upper trail. I heard this noise and when I backed up it came off. I ran over it on the way up....

The easiest way to do it is apply no pressure and turn the phillips counterclockwise. If you push they just spin, so just barely put the screwdriver in the slots.

The slower you turn the easier it will come out.
