so i finally sold my stocker wheels and tires, all 5 steelies and tires with 9k miles for $325, a pretty damn good deal right, so i go to my tire guy and order my full spare and i need it by tomorrow for a wheeling trip for the fourth, here i call and see if i can come pick it up today and he tells me that they discontinued the KMC Enduro wheel and that there are no more available. so i'm pissed right, i need this spare for this weekend. i told him to get me a soft 8 to throw on there and now i have to go out to his shop tomorrow morning first thing in the morning before i have to go to jeepskool this weekend. now i'm even more stressed for time as when i go to pick it up tomorrow, i gotta have that wheel and tire right, like i can't have it not fit on the stock carrier, lol no room to throw it in the back because of all our gear and food and stuff, so i'm just hoping this pro comp soft 8 will go on right. the spare will be a 315/75R16 Nitto Terra on a 16X10 Pro comp/soft 8 wheel.
and i'll prolly just end up keeping this wheel on there b/c it's the spare anyway. will that look alright?

That sucks. Through a tire cover over it and no one will know the difference.

 

It's only a wheel, don't stress. There's PLENTY of styles out there.

 

It will look a whole lot better than the stocker you got on the back now and it will be functional if needed.

 

That stinks.....do you think you can find that wheel on some internet site with the proper size, bolt pattern and BS after your trip??? Worst case Dump the KMC wheels on E-bay or Craiglist and buy another 4 procomp soft 8 wheels to match them all after your wheeling trip.

 

better yet he can dump them on me, i won't mind if my spare doesn't match

I'm sure this happens all the time. Price you pay for wanting something unique. for all I know mine are discontinued and if one gets damaged I'm screwed also. I suppose I'd have to find comparable size steel wheel and slap a cover on it like Pearl - drum said.

 

I've seen YJs with different wheels. My friends TJ had different wheel on it when he bought it. Its kind of funny to look at but no harm done. As long as it functions and you're happy with it. That's what matters.
