For those of us who know about the three inch thick "Harley Davidson" accessories catalog, then you know about the astronomical prices they charge for little chrome & black replacement covers. Today I received my annual "Quadratec Essentials" catalog, in that I drew a parallel. "Premium Billet Accessories"- are you ready ?... $314.99 for hood latches, $176.99 for hood hinges, $59.99 for a "Trail rated" logo surround, $172.99 for tow hook covers (WTF). $59.99 for an antenna bezel, and $216.99 for interior vent surrounds. Thats $1001.94 (not including shipping). I now believe that we are in the wrong business. I'm a poser for now, and even I think these items/prices are ridiculous. As for you fellow "boulder bashers" out there, I know you could come up with a better use for one thousand dollars. Jeep safe.

 

i saw that too... its very sad... simply cosmetic... and it doesn't even look good so whats the point?

 

Wait now! $$$ Think again... This is very important stuff...
That is safety chrome - it reflects at night to help other people see you! That's what I told my wife about the chrome stuff on my black Harley.

 

For 1k I could buy some spare axle shafts.

 

Mine is a plain white wrapper, a sleeper if you will, but still all HD however I did liked the chrome ='s safety comment which was posted earlier.
