Possible Shrockworks Stubby, no winch, with factory fogs.

Jim at Shrockworks said if I could drum up 10 people to preorder a stubby without winch and with factory fog light cutouts(like the one photoshopped above), that it would be worth it for their time in R&D. He only has 2 guys designing and wants to make sure that these will sell before putting time and effort into developing the design. the preorder would only be charge if infact this bumper is built, otherwise its a no go.
My estimates would say that this bumper would be less expensvie than the current stubby, (no winch plate(11 lbs steel) no precut winch opening or predrilled holes for coverplate). So we are looking at a bumper in the $500 range.
i would think it would have a total of 4 light tabs(2 on the ends and 2 in the center) in addition to the 2 factory fogs.
Jim would have to verify if a winch could be added in the future on the top of the bumper, but i think the idea is that this would be a bumper for those who never intend on getting a winch, if so they would have to get the stubby with winch cutout and use the coverplates.

I was liking the idea of the midrange bumper with the fogs....but the stubby with the fogs looks better.
Can't say I am in a position to commit to buying it at this stage (road trip to Alaska (from Iowa and back) in July is gonna set me back enough in gas costs alone, but if that was produced, it would rank up there as probably my top choice for purchase later in the fall (or possible Christmas gift from the wife)

GOOD ONE!
Actually I thought the same thing at first, but then I saw Eddie's setup in person and REALLY liked it. The design is first notch. And it's built very heavy-duty.
The lower rock guard is a bit 'stale', but it's good.
I talked with Trent at PJ about laser cutting the "PJ" logo in the lower rock guard to add a little 'flare' to the bumper, but he stated he want's it smooth so it doesn't catch on any rocks.
Shrockworks is definately the best LOOKING stubby out there. But you probably won't see this design till 2009

its not like the shrockworks cut our of the skid plate is that big anyway... might catch some #8 stone, but its not going to hang the jeep up. i guess shrockworks has a better logo for laser cutting
so what was his reason for having the shackle mound bolted on... and surface mounted..the shrockworks bumper is smoother than the pj in that case.

I don't know the reason why PJ choose to do the bolt on Shackle thing, but I personally like it. It gives it a 'rugged' look and it's an easy bolt-on...
Yeah, I personally don't agree with NOT lasering "PJ" in the skid. If you're hitting up as high as that, the damage past the skid (underside of Jeep) might be nasty anyway.
I personally don't like 'shrockworks' lasercut in theirs because their skid has contour to it, which makes it look great in the first place.
Again, the Shrockworks is great looking, there's just certain attributes I don't like. Jim covered all of them except for Leadtime and the holes around the perimeter of the winch hole on their existing bumper. You won't have to worry about the holes if they produce this bumper though.
