Default Best 285/70/17 tires?

Which do you guys recommend for mostly road(80%)?
Will this fit on a stock 17" without spacers and lift?
Thanks

people will say many different things, but i am a firm believer of bfg km's for an all around great tire.
they are 'quiet' on road and do well offroad.

BFG's are always a solid choice, but I also would consider the GY MTR. They have been great so far, and 99% of the people that run them swear by them both on and off road. I you want a great AT tire, not mud, look at the BFG AT's or the Bridgestone Revo AT's.

I bought my BFG AT 2 weeks ago 285/70/17 they are great only slightly louder than my stock tires. The rim and tire pkg together does weight a bit more so I lost about 1 MPG so far.

I have the BFG AT's. They have a great ride, extremely quiet and look great on the rig. I have no complaints what so ever.
