I know there are millions of similar questions posted here but... here's another one...
Question 1). I'm thinking about getting Teralex BB 2.5" lift as it seems many of you recommend it over other brand, but I'm going to keep the stock 32" BFG tires/wheels (came with Rubi) for now...until they get worn out. I can't afford getting bigger tires. How does JK look with 32" stock BFG tires with 2.5" lift? Does the lift make 32" tires look small and wimpy? I have a Rubicon Unlimited, BTW.
Question 2). Which is better... Teraflex BB "with Shocks" (Part# 001255200) or "without Shocks" (#001355200) or "with Adapters - use OEM shocks" (#001355210) ? Besides, JK my daily driver, I'm going to drive off-road almost every day-offs during summer - fall (nothing serious but some very rough trails around High Sierra - Tahoe - Reno. So, I need reliable/solid lift.
Question 3). I'm completely clueless about installing the lift. I've seen the write-up at Project-JK and some other posts here at JK-Forum. Not for me for sure. I don't know what I'm looking at even. It's too complicated. So, I need my dealer or local 4 wheel parts stores to install the lift. Does Jeep dealer install the lift for me? Or, does one of those 4 wheel parts store (like 4 Wheel Parts) install the lift for me even if I didn't buy the lift from them?
Thanx in advance!

I went to one of the rough trail near Tahoe, and I kept getting hit on the bottom (heard some grinding noise, anyway). I heard/read somewhere that even 2.5" lift makes big difference going over some rocks etc.
And, I eventually get bigger tires... just not now.

Everyone get a new set of tires when you get the lift? Isn't the lift give more ground clearance? Or, you need to get bigger tires in order to get more ground clearance (the tires give ground clearance and not the lift)?
It will get you more clearance to the belly, but nothing as far as the differentials go. I have this setup, and intend to run with the stock Rubicon wheels and tires for a while. I refuse to go to 35" tires with the stock 4.10 gears, and can't afford the $1500 gear change along with wheels and tires at this time. Nothing wrong with one step at a time.
I think it looks good. They should come like this...

I have a 4dr Rubi with the 2.5 inch TF lift and love it! Still have the stock rubber. I refuse to take a loss on them to buy 35's. So i will wait until they wear out. I got the shock extenders because i was told that the rubi shocks are top-of-the -line. So far so good. Down the road i plan on getting a larger more complete lift so that is another reason i didnt buy the shocks. I see it as a $250 lift rental till i get a bigger one and bigger tires. i got mine from dave at northridge.
Also i installed it myself. I have never even changed the oil before. So i had a little hesitation like you. But just follow WOL's write up and you will be fine. I also took his write up and made it into a nice PDF with one step per page. made it easy to take out to the drive way. PM me if you wold like a copy.
