Default Good Deal on newer Rubi or keep looking for used?

So I have been looking for a while, I have a lease running up at the end of the month, so time is not on my side. I found a 09 Rubi unlimited 6spd with mygig and hard top,2700 miles, for 27k and some change.

I know I am buying at the wrong time, but I am trying to decide if I should go with this one, or try and find a 07 or 08 with some mods. Seems like a good deal on the rubi, but wouldn't leave me any cash to do anything to it for a while.

What do you guys think?

If it was me....I would search out a well maintained used JK with some mods already done and taken the initial depreciation off the lot and added mod's to the JK. Get it inspected if you are looking used...to find any hidden issues. I am sure you will find some sweet deals if you look hard enough.

However, you have to consider a new vehicle you will get that lifetime powertrain warranty which you won't get on a used model unless the owner got one that is transferrable. Also, you may get a better rate for the vehicle loan new vs a used???

Good luck

Thats the only problem with this, It was one a guy bought, went and titled but the financing fell through. The dealer has been using it as a demo, but it had been titled so no lifetime warranty.

That doesn't bother me too much because I am sure by the time the 3 year is up, I will have enough mods that it wouldn't be covered anyway.

I really Have been looking hard, It seems to me, that this is the way to go, just don't want to make a mistake and regret it later.

thats what I thought too, never thought my powertrain warranty would be honored with all my mods, till today. How long ago did that dealer get the jeep back? Any idea how many miles they put on it verse the guy who bought it did? I would look a little more, maybe even look at the forsale section here for one with some mods already.

They put most of the miles on, the guy only had for a couple hundred. It does suck that it does not have the lifetime anymore, but I think i can live with that.

If it helps any I paid 26,488 for my Unlimited Rubi, loaded with mygig and dual tops, brand new with 4 miles on it. Sticker was just a few bucks shy of $37k. This was back in the end of Jan this year.

Yeah I know, I am a couple of months late on buying, I still think this is a good deal, it sounds like you got a great deal.
