Default Custom Sewn Tire Cover

SO I have a length of material that I wish to sew into a cover for my spare tire, however I have no idea where one is to start

My hope was that someone had done this already or knew a place to get a good look at the process necessary to do this thank you kindly for the help in advance

I am not sure where your from but you may want to try a sail making shop or boat canvas company. I live in Michigan and there are many company's that do custom work with the industrial sewing machines they have.

This is what I've done myself ... are you using a simliarly colored material?

I don't have time tonight, but I'll work on making a write-up on a simple tire cover.

I am looking at a very similar pattern, I chose to go with the ACU as I have seat covers in the same pattern, and the guys i the unit would bust my balls if I showed up wit hall that CADPAT right, but that is exactly what I was looking for, did you get a MATTEC to make that or did you do it yourself

Made it myself .... funny thing is I've done all the air forces trades except the sewing part ..learned that at home with my wife.

This Sunday I should have a writeup for a tire cover. Easy for anyone that can sew .... without requiring a pro.

As for the guys at your unit ... when I started showing up with homemade Cadpat kit ..yeah ..I got my balls busted ... and then they started asking me to make some for them. Next thing I know, the request go to non-military gear & clothing ..... including this ....

and then ..a lot of request for sexy camo clothing. Which I did ... geez ... taking measurements is so hard ....

So don't worry about the guys t the unit ..do what you want to do.

Great jumper, yeah I also chose ACU because it goes with the interior of the Deep water Blue, I have been sewing for a few years now i did up a really nice Ghillie suit when I was in Suffeild and was fixing and modding chest rigs overseas for all the guys so I am never too worried about the razzing I am actually buying an industrial machine next month so I can start getting pro, as for the write up I would really appreciate one it will give me somthing to do over next week
