Need a new horn
Okay so I flooded my horn on the trail and I've decided since the thing is a piece of crap to begin with I'm going to swap it. I have no idea what I'm doing so... Anybody done this? Any ideas? Thanks.
No, but I've always wanted one of those 18 wheeler horns...
It would be great for when you're stuck behind granny in the left hand lane, doing 40 on the interstate
OK, I wouldn't do that to granny...

I toasted a set of FIAMM air horns and the compressor by submerging them.
I now have the trusty electric horn that graced my CJ for years.
It looks kinda like this, just with a shorter snout:
It sounds like "JEEP" when it is honked.
WOLO Badboy. Crazy loud, but really small in comparison.

I installed a Stebel Motorcycle horn. Loud, dual tone and compact. I installed the relay where the stock horn was located and the horn behind the grill on a pre-existing tab using the stock horn mounting plate. Pretty straight forward install. I believe most aftermarket (loud) horns include a relay and will require some wiring.

I too flooded my horn when I slogged into a 3 foot deep mud puddle, resulting in a ton of thick milk chocolate in my engine compartment... it still works, but sounds like an anemic duck. I was ok with that until some grandma almost backed into me the other day... I was frantically trying to honk...
I guess I'll pull it out and replace. The OEM one has a wire harness, and it is pretty confining in there. This could be fun Houston.
