Have a few questions though, With 3.73+ ratios whats the MPG~ of a Unlimited w/ 33s and 1-2" lift?

I'm not expecting stellar numbers, just wanted to know ^^.

Also, I'm rather concerned for the security of my stuff as far as keeping the top off of my jeep. I'd like to mod some audio equip and a navi or something, but i don't want to get things swiped from my car...

I'm getting a Hardtop for sure, but with all 3 pieces off, how do you guys manage security? Any particular alarms?

 

I have no alarm, except the one the jeep came with. it only works if someone opens the door and it's on.

I have a rule. I never leave anything in the jeep I will cry about if
it gets stolen.
I tell people that ride with me that too.
don't leave valuables in an open top jeep.

 

I don't leave much of anything in my open Jeep. I had someone steal my fire extingisher mounted on my roll bar.

Remington 870 sitting next to the front seat works well when I'm in the jeep. When I must leave it, I just do whatever I'm doing as fast as possible, especially with doors/roof off.

 

My theory with the top is if I'm worried about it being stolen, I don't leave it in the Jeep.

 

pretty much was was all ready stated, if it is worth anything to do, leave it at home. although here no one really messes with your stuff.

 

When my jeep is topless I don't even lock it. Figure if someone can just open a door, no damage will occur and maybe they will figure out that there will be NOTHING in it to steal as I don't leave anything in it at all.

Notice nobody has replied to the gas mileage question. If that is an issue, don't buy a wrangler.

I even go so far as leaving the windows down. I figure the top is down, so it's easy enough to get into, and I don't want some idiot breaking the window just because.

 

I am running 35's with a 3" lift and 3.73's. I get around 17mpg average.

The fact is most people are good and will leave your Jeep alone, even with the top off. But on the off chance there is a douchebag lurking in the shadows I don't leave anything in the Jeep of value. I have the top off from April-October.

If there are some small things you want to protect get Tuffy center console.
