Default anyone not using a "fullsize" spare tire?

I have not in ANY of my vehicles for a while but I was wondering who here does.
Now I do not mean "i am a cheap bastard and will run the stock spare and I do not care" :toung: I mean you either run the smaller spare for some other reason.
example: 35" and larger tires are not always fun to lift and they add a ton of wight on the carrier. I have also noticed that when I do need a spare its because the tire is destroyed beyond repair and I need a new one or the tire is so full of crud after loosing a bead that I will have to reseat it in a "safer" place.
Flats on-road mean nothing to me. I have OBA and a plug kit from hell or the tire falls into the "destroyed" category
My JK will be running 35ish tires for a while, my spare is a 34x9.5 TSL that I got from the junk yard that is near new. Its great because it is an agressive enough tire to match whatever I have on it for traction and because it is tall/skinny it weights a LOT less and takes less space.

i recently saw a pic of a hugely built rig, i think i read it was sitting on 44" TSL's. with the stock pizza cutter spare. he ever get into any trouble, he's a trail tampon. i hate people that do that.

your idea is good though, aggressive enough to get you out, but small enough to not herniate you....

Thumbs down ..I see an issue

You're not concerned about blowing up your diff with having different diameter tires on the same axel?

one is a 34 (spare) the others are 35s. the difference in "real world measurement " (not tire company) is like 1/2 inch. That and the difference in tire size the diff does not care much. a inch or more difference in height of a tire (under inflated or whatever) is quite common even in daily drivers. and If I am running a spool or selectable locker it most definitely will not care

If it does I pull the fuse. That and it would be "on trail" anyway where tire slippage is common.
