Default Smittybilt xrc-10 comp winch

Does anybody have an experience with this winch or one like it? I don't plan on using it a whole lot, but I want it to work and work well when I do...

Default Xrc 10

I just put one on have recovered myself and another JK, the winch operated flawlessly. Just my opinion... for the money cosmetically and the couple of times I have used it, i have absolutely no complains. Also a plus, had a decent warranty, just my 2 cents again, If it does break it will be replaced if it outlasts the warranty I has more than paid for itself........

With a great warranty I don't see why not to get one...

Thanks for the post!

My brother has a Smiity 8.5 on his Jeep & have never had a single problems with it after many uses. For the price I don't think there is a better option. Also, I believe it was Jeep mag that did a shootout of "cheaper" winches & the Smitty was on top.

fyi, I installed it on an XRC bumper.... If you do the same you may want to have the bumper off of your rig , just makes life a lil easier when getting everything bolted up, Either way you go good luck.

Superwinch is another good option if you're going on the cheaper side IMO

Anyone have any complaints with it? I am planning on buying one today and just want to know more about it... Also does anyone know if it will fit in the Mopar bumper? or is it a standard fit?

Default Winch

I have one also from 4wheelparts and it has worked great so far it is the new one with the series wound motor (do not get the older version) my brother has the older XRC-8 and it works okay but is really really slow.
