Default Budget boost or susp lift?

New jeep owner. I was planning on a 3" teraflex for my 35's. I drove one today at the dealer and it felt very squishy and top heavy. I do NO wheeling and only want the look.

Would I be better off with a budget boost or some other option. Thanks for the help from a non mechanical newbie.

Don't judge all lifts by the one you drove at the dealer. You have no idea who installed it, what components were included, and more importantly - which components may have been missing or installed incorrectly.

And I agree with the others, a BB should be fine for your use. If you need a little added clearance, you can always trim the flares or throw on a 1" body lift.

Thanks guys. Does the BB change the ride much? I spend most time on the highway and like the feel of the stock ride. Should I replace the shocks?

Money isn't a concern I will not go bigger than 35". I just had the idea a BB would have less affect on the ride. Is this true?

Shocks play a huge role in ride quality. i did a bb with my stock rubicon shocks. it still rides very smooth, however not as smooth as factory since the angles of the arms will change. However this is with any lift. Every different spring, amount of lift, and shock combination will ride differently.

I have found people's view of a "good ride" will vary dramatically. So be careful. ...

If all you are doing is adding some 2" spacers on top of the coils and possibly some shock extensions, your ride quality should be unchanged.

And don't run out and pay for an alignment right away! Browse through the write-up that was linked earlier. Re-center the steering wheel if needed, maybe toe in the 35's a bit, and you're good to go.
