tyre question again
As i am limited to wheels and anything else for my JK in the UK i have had to stick with the standard 18" Sahara wheels i have had them powder coated black and to be honest dont mind them
Now the trye question ! I have the chance of a set of BF Goodrich All Terrain 285 x 65 x 18
Will these fit my standard wheel rims ?
Will i need anythimg doing / buying as again this is worry as will have problem getting them without importing and costing me a fortune in import duty / taxes
Not really up on what i have read regarding spaces etc so any replies please i dont mind you talking to me like a child !

They will fit the wheels, but there are some things to consider. Go to the BFG website or tirerack.com and look up the specs.
* That tire is E load rated = so it will be more stiff than what you are driving on now.
* It weighs 60 lbs, which is probably 15 lbs more than your stock tire = more horsepower to turn so you may notice a decrease in power (I did when my weight simply redistributed).
* Your current wheel is 7.5" wide. This tire is recommended for a wheel that is 8" to 10" wide = not really a big deal, but some have said their tire shops won't mount a tire that is not withing the wheels width range.
* That tire is 11.50" wide. The widest stock tire is 10.50" = you MAY have rubbing issues which means spacers, or adjusting the steering stops, or removing/trimming the lovely front air dam.
* That tire is 32.8" tall. Tallest stock tire is 32" tall = probably not a problem unless you wheel pretty hard. Any rubbing at full flex could be fixed with a leveling kit or some spacers.
So, again, they will fit, but they aren't "made" for that wheel or the stock configuration and may needs some modification.

hi thanks for reply think i have understood everything
Does a spacer just fit behind the rim to bring the wheel out abit and with the rim being a bit small width wide is there any chance of tyre comimg off the rim

If I understand your question right, the answer is no. The tire will not come off becuase the spacer's have new threads/bolts for the stock tire to mount back onto.
Here is a picture of the Spidertrax spacers, probably the best on the market right now.

hi thanks now i know what spacers look like but what i ment was i have been told my stock rims are 7.5 inches and the tyres are relly for rims 8 to 10 inches wide would this not then lead to tyre possibly comimg of rim (as its to big ) hope that makes sense
you will be fine. I really doubt you will need wheel spacers. If anything you may rub that POS air dam. the spacer will give you more clearance at full lock and push the wheels out giving it a more agressive stance and wider trac
I think you're asking if the bead of the tire will come off the wheel because the wheel is too narrow by 1/2" for the tire. If so, my answer is: Not likely.
