I am really, really thinking about cutting off the back, squared out, portion of the roll cage / sport cage (2 dr) ; and, welding an angled bar in it's place. Just like the CJ roll cage. Anyone else dreaming of this mod?....(I wish I knew a welder)

 

I too have thought about this considering I took out my back seat and I don't want back seat drivers anyway -- i use the rear as trunk space for all of my climbing gear.

If you lived in AZ I would help you do this. I'm in the same shoes as you, but on a more mental dilemna -- do I really want to cut and f*** with the sport cage?

Time will tell. If you do this then take pictures and let me see because I am interested.

I've been wanting to do this too. Ever since I saw it on the Rubicon King, I've been lusting after it. that jeep looks so sweet with the trimming mods (like the grill and roll bars) that remind me of the older CJ style.
