2012 King of the Hammers camping trip!
Campsite Details:
Directions to camp:
North of the concrete bridge (after you pay to enter), less than a mile. Sign is on left of road as you drive north. There is also a street sign there marked Campo Serrano. Turn left (west). Drive past the first area of RVs. You should see our green sign at camp. Lots of tents, two RVs at the site (so far).
Latitude/Longitude:
34degrees 23' 55" N
116degrees 31' 38" W
Sign on Boone Rd pointing to camp:

If you're headed to the King of the Hammers this year let's meet up and make it a party!
The main race is on Friday, February 10. They start staging early, so arriving Thursday is probably a good idea. It also makes it easier to find a spot in the temporary city of 60,000.
I'll be arriving as early as possible on Thursday morning, and I'll try to get a space within easy walking distance to Hammertown, and with enough room to fit an RV or toy hauler or two. Last year the big difficulty was finding other forum folks. I'll post coordinates and directions to our site as soon as I get out there.
Admission this year is $20 for adults, $10 for children (under 5 are free). If you buy your tickets online you can save $5 per adult. hXXp://ultra4racing.com/the-inside-line/2012-king-of-the-hammers-tickets-for-sale/
Here's the schedule for the whole week's events: hXXp://ultra4racing.com/the-inside-line/2012-king-of-the-hammers-event-schedule/
It can get REALLY cold out there, so be prepared. Last year I tent camped and my contacts froze solid in their case. And in the afternoon I got a sunburn!
So, who's coming?!

I'll be there Thur night and Friday night. Damn Jury Duty Hammer week. I'll probably claim I had to go back to court Tue so I can see an LCQ.
Coordinates would be awesome!
I'll also be out there the previous Fri, Sat, and Sun.

Are you going to take your Jeep, or just the RV? I'm going on my own, so I have room in my rig to get you to the different race areas. This is going to be a fun trip, I can feel it.
Awesome! Looking forward to meeting up with you out there!
