Big Bear - Clarks Summit - Saturday, August 7

Hey everyone, it's been a long time coming but I'm excited to say that bob is finally ready to hit a trail so we're spending the weekend in big bear. We are planning on running Clarks Summit some time after breakfast. We've done a lot of the north side trails but never this one. ...should be a nice moderate run and bob's first since his "incident." If anyone would like to join us, please let me know!

Please note that the trail is ~30 miles and will take 4-5 hours. Please bring plenty of water and food if you tend to get hungry

We will be meeting at 10:00am at Alpine Slide at Magic Mountain: 800 Wildrose Lane, Big Bear Lake, CA 92315

What time you thinking? If I recall it is about a 2 hour drive to Big Bear.

I am a maybe I will be up there this weekend. I will be with the family so if there is anyone going with kids it makes my life much easier.

It take me 2 hours 20 minutes to get there from Carlsbad.

how old are the kids? I have a 5 & 7 yo boys. Might make it easier for the both of us if we go and would be cool to meet some of the forum members (im a n00b)

It's about a 2 hour drive or so, but probably depends on when you leave SD. We're thinking about heading to the trail around 9:30 - 10:00am. We'll be in Big Bear all weekend, so if someone is driving up in the morning, we can tailor it around their schedule. :yup:

Kids are always welcome! :yup:

I have girls 9 and 7 and a 5 year old boy.

IF we get some families and want to have an after run pool party let me know. I will be at big bear shores (1 minute from the discovery center) and we can swim and get the dust off.
