What to do
Contact Brown Field Border Patrol Station at (619) 661-3141
and tell them your intent of recovering a vehicle in the otay mountains area.
And see if the Border Patrol agent that help you could assist you again
Just my 2 cent worth
33
P.S. lesson learned always take two jeeps, never go it alone in bad weather

For future reference... jk-forum has an IOU from the Border Patrol...
Can't wait for the pics..
All was good until I tried to go through a spot where we had to pull a Border Patrol agent out about 5 minutes earlier. I figured I'd give it a try, I had much better tires but the ruts were way too deep. I lost the U-joint end caps in my new axle.
I’m not sure if I lost them in the mud right then or if they came out earlier on the trail. Either way I had to put Eddie's plug back in and my Jeep is once again 3 wheel drive.
